    Caching
    In This Topic

The files obtained from remote web sites via HTTP or HTTPS are often very slow to retrieve (this is particularly true of the W3C which severely throttles the downloading of some files to discourage them from being downloaded).

These delays can adversely effect the usability of Liquid XML Studio, so to resolve this Liquid XML Studio now has the ability to cache W3C and other files. Every time a file is retrieved via http or https the caching rules are checked and the file is cached accordingly. Subsequent requests are served from the cache.

All W3C files are assumed to be static, so no attempts are made to freshen the cached files. If you need to do this then the files can be purged manually within this Options Dialog.
